Orders placed now are for containerized trees. We take orders for our trees in advance and ship them out at the best time for Fall planting in each region from Aug-Dec taking the guesswork out of planting. See our Fall Shipping Date Map Below to see exactly when orders will ship to your state.

Shipments to Northern states like MI and WI will start to go out in Aug and we will work our way Southward as the weather warms. We'll finish up in the South in states like MS and FL in Nov-Dec. A notification will be sent via email prior to shipment with tracking info.

This map shows our ship dates color coded by state. We time shipments to arrive at the right time for planting in each region. You'll get an email confirmation when your order is shipped to give you advance notice before their arrival.

If you place your order after we have completed shipping to your region we will ship your order out within 5-10 business days.

Mycorrhizae is a beneficial soil fungus that grows on the roots of your trees and helps them take up water and nutrients more effectively. Similar to inoculating plants like beans and peas prior to planting. If you select this option we will include a packet of mycorrhizae granules with your trees. Just sprinkle in the hole prior to planting and you're good to go. We don't plant anything here at the farm without using it ourselves!

When you buy from us you can rest assured that you're going to end up with a healthy growing tree come spring. We guarantee that all our trees will emerge from dormancy so you don't have to worry about spending your money on something that may or may not bud out come spring. Just follow the recommendations in our planting instructions and your tree is covered.

White oaks are one of the most dominant native hardwoods across much of the US. They provide a major fall food source for deer. Compared to other oaks, their acorns have a low tannin content. Tannins make acorns bitter so having a low tannin content makes them more palatable for deer. They're good as oaks go but they still can't compete with chestnuts in terms of taste since chestnuts have no bitter tannins at all. Overall white oaks do make a great addition to any hunting property and will provide food for deer, squirrels, turkeys, and many others. They're very easy to grow, cold hardy to zone 3, and adapt to a wide range of conditions.
