Nuttall Oak
One of the best oaks for wildlife including deer, ducks, and turkeys, Nuttall oaks hold their acorns late into the year. Some hold on well into December. Additionally they tolerate wet areas much better than most oaks making the preferred tree planting for waterfowl. Can be planted around wetlands to provide a great food source. Also a great choice for deer as they drop much later than many other oaks. Very palatable and will draw deer in late into the year. Nuttall are very easy to grow and are one of our fastest growing oaks. All around a great option for easy growing and great production and attraction.

By November most acorns have been mopped up and the woods go quiet. Late Drop Hybrids are selected to drop Nov–late Dec, right when deer have the fewest options. Our recommendation: a 1:1 mix.
